St John’s has a number of members who have come to us from South Sudan. The South Sudanese meet regularly on Sunday afternoons for worship and fellowship under the leadership of James Ruei, who is a Lay Worker, who is currently studying to become a Specific Ministry Pastor to serve his people in the Geelong community. In addition to the South Sudanese Fellowship gatherings on Sunday afternoons, sessions are also held on Saturdays for the young people to teach them Bible truths and to help to keep them connected with their South Sudanese roots.
