Bible Story: Matthew 21: 33-44 – The Parable of the Tenants
Read this story from your bible or watch this little animation:
Do you like listening to stories? Lots of us have favourite stories that we have heard repeatedly; perhaps you enjoy stories like The Boy who Cried Wolf, or The Tortoise and the Hare.
Some children’s stories are just fun, others have been told throughout history to teach an important lesson.
Jesus knew that stories were an effective way of teaching people about life’s lessons. In this week’s gospel we hear the Parable of the Tenants.
The story helps us to understand that Jesus is the only way to eternal life with God. We are warned against rejecting Jesus as the tenants in this story did.

Hold the fruit as you ask God to grow his fruit in you.
Dear God, thank you that your Holy Spirit lives in me. Please help me to remain connected to you and growing the fruits that reflect you in our world. Today I ask, please grow in me the fruit of (joy/love/peace…). Help me to use this fruit of the Spirit to behave in ways that are pleasing to you. Amen.
